Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Six+ years of progressively complex accounting experience, with at least two years in client billing.
• Minimum of two years in a management role.

• Experience with Elite accounting system or comparable software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Revenue Operations with revenue-related aspects of setting up and supporting new or expanding practice offices.
• Create training materials and supervise revenue staff and attorneys support to ensure proper procedures.
• Work with local offices to ensure Inventory Management Gold Standard is executed effectively.
• Review revenue procedures to improve efficiency and resource use.
• Develop and manage a bill auditing function and ensure firm policies are followed.
• Protect highly sensitive, confidential, proprietary information.

About The Role

The Senior Manager is an integral part of Latham's Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for providing revenue and financial analysis support to all US practice offices within their region, while b uild ing relationships with, and provid ing support to practice office Revenue Managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure excellent revenue support is provided. This role will be located in either our San Francisco or Silicon Valley office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Director of Revenue Operations with all revenue-related aspects of setting up and supporting new or expanding practice offices, including traveling to these offices to assess local needs, meeting with attorneys and staff, assisting with the recruiting of Revenue staff, and providing assistance in collecting and evaluating information about statutory requirements for start-up operations in new countries
• Assisting in creating tip sheets, billing manual updates, and other training materials, while training the practice office revenue staff and attorney support to ensure they understand and follow proper revenue procedures
• Working with the local practice offices to ensure the Inventory Management Gold Standard is being executed effectively
• Maintaining a continuing review of revenue-related procedures to bring about improvements with regard to efficiency and use of resources, while acting as a resource for information, and the interpretation of accounting policies and procedures
• Developing and managing a bill auditing function and ensuring firm policies and procedures are being followed by practice office billing staff
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Demonstrate well developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
• Possess excellent leadership skills (e.g., organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effective management
• Exhibit the ability to perceive and analyze problems, and display a capacity to make or recommend sound decisions

And have:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field
• A minimum of six (6) years increasingly complex accounting experience, with at least two (2) years of relevant experience in client billing
• A minimum of two (2) years' of experience in a management capacity
• Experience at a professional services organization
• Experience with Elite accounting system or comparable enterprise financial software application

Pay Range

USD $210,000.00 - USD $240,000.00 /Yr.
