Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking an on-site HR Business Partner for a Pittsburgh-region plant. You will partner with plant management and staff, handling employee relations, onboarding, and labor issues while ensuring policy compliance.

The role focuses on supporting about 80 employees, coordinating recruiting and retention, and collaborating with corporate HR on union matters. Local candidates preferred in Oakmont, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 5+ years HR experience in manufacturing or warehousing.
• Experience with union environments is preferred; strong candidates without it will be considered.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of HR contact for plant of roughly 80 employees.
• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues and performance conversations.
• Work with corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations.
• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and company policy.
• Maintain visibility on the production floor and communicate with staff.
• Support rollout of HR systems and process improvements.
• Report site trends and concerns to HR leadership.

Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 + bonus

Overview

A multi-site consumer goods manufacturer needs an on-site HR lead for one of its smaller plants in the Pittsburgh region. The parent organization runs several facilities across the country, and this person would be the go-to HR resource at this location, partnering with plant management and spending real time with hourly and salaried staff.

The company sees this as a stepping stone. The long‑term plan is for this role to grow into HR oversight across more than one site.

What the Job Involves

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees


• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict


• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations


• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention


• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy


• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to


• Help roll out HR systems and process improvements


• Report site trends and concerns up to HR leadership

What They Need

• Bachelor’s degree preferred


• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing


• Union environment experience preferred; strong candidates without it who show they can pick it up will be considered


• Able to handle sensitive employee matters independently and judge when escalation is warranted


• Builds trust easily with everyone from the floor to the front office


• HRIS experience a plus, especially helping with an implementation


• Must be local; relocation is not offered
