Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; candidates without it will be considered if capable.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters independently and escalate when needed.
• Builds trust with all levels from shop floor to front office.
• HRIS experience a plus, especially with implementations.

Location: Oakmont, PA (On-site, local candidates only)
Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 + bonus

Overview

A multi-site consumer goods manufacturer needs an on-site HR lead for one of its smaller plants in the Pittsburgh region. The parent organization runs several facilities across the country, and this person would be the go-to HR resource at this location, partnering with plant management and spending real time with hourly and salaried staff.

The company sees this as a stepping stone. The long‑term plan is for this role to grow into HR oversight across more than one site.

What the Job Involves

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees


• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict


• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations


• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention


• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy


• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to


• Help roll out HR systems and process improvements


• Report site trends and concerns up to HR leadership

What They Need
