Job summary

Aston Carter in Norfolk, VA seeks an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to develop leaders and drive performance management across departments. You will handle onboarding, terminations, employee relations, compensation analysis, and HRIS optimization in a full-time onsite role with remote flexibility after 90 days.

The role partners with executives, supports global HR projects, and contributes to HR metrics, budgeting, and workforce planning in a dynamic, international context.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably including experience as a HRBP for a higher-level strategic understanding
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with HR executives and organizational leaders on strategic HR initiatives
  • Strong background in HR management, including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and terminations
  • Experience handling employee relations issues and investigations in a fair and compliant manner
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, including data analysis, audits, and process automation
  • Proficiency in Office suite applications for reporting, documentation, and communication
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deadlines effectively
  • Ability to interpret and analyze HR metrics, including hiring, attrition, and exit interview data

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support performance management activities, including one-on-one meetings, coaching, foundational leadership development, and feedback processes
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for new employees
  • Manage termination processes in a professional, compliant, and empathetic manner
  • Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and guidance on HR policies and practices
  • Contribute to HR strategy, including budget planning, headcount management, and workforce planning initiatives
  • Develop and support succession planning efforts to ensure strong leadership pipelines and continuity in key roles
  • Conduct compensation analysis to support equitable, competitive, and data-driven pay decisions
  • Lead and participate in HR projects initiated by headquarters or executive leadership, including employee data reviews, HRIS audits, HRIS automation, and analysis of employee information within HRIS systems
  • Manage reporting and analytics for key HR metrics such as hiring, attrition, and exit interview data, and recommend process improvements based on findings
  • Assist the HR Vice President with monthly headcount reporting, scorecards, and other strategic HR metrics
  • Interact with HR vendors to evaluate and support HR products and services
  • Collaborate on the continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and employee experience
  • Manage HR-related projects and deadlines, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of initiatives
  • Perform other HR tasks and duties as assigned to support the broader HR function

Job Description

The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in developing leaders, driving performance management, and shaping strategic HR initiatives across the organization. Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite role with standard hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After the first 90 days, the position offers the flexibility of one remote workday per week. The Human Resources Business Partner will be one of three HRBPs and will likely provide substantial support to the call center operations, requiring regular interaction with leaders and employees in that environment. The organization operates in a global context, offering exposure to international HR projects and practices, as well as opportunities for professional growth, including advancement into higher-level HR leadership roles.

This is a Permanent position based out of Norfolk, VA.

Pay And Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
  • Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
