Human Resources Business Partner
OTC Markets Group - New York, NY - Full Time
OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier US financial marketplaces, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources & Administration team.
Please note OTC Markets is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely). This position is based in our NYC office.

Base compensation for this role is up to $100,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition, the position is eligible for our discretionary annual bonus program and equity.
What You’ll Do:
Benefits
- Manage the administration of Company’s health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, leaves of absence/disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, and voluntary benefits, COBRA; ensure the accuracy of required Federal and State government filings (e.g., 5500s, ACA Reporting, etc.)
- Manage the administration of the Company’s international benefit programs (EMEA & APAC) including medical, dental, vision
- Prepare any applicable reporting for and ensure compliance of federal, state, and local laws and regulations including EEO, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, and DOL requirements.
- Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and partner with Payables for processing, audit benefits EDI feeds for accuracy.
- Manage retirement plans such as 401(k), equity compensation agents for restricted stock and awards, and collaborate with our account managers ensuring smooth operations.
- Partner with leadership to manage open enrollment; draft communications for participant issues, and benefit orientations
- Primary liaison with Benefits brokers and TPAs
- Partner with leadership on year-end Stock Buyback and Equity Compensation process.
Compliance
- Analyze changes to global (US, EMEA) labor laws and recommend appropriate changes to leadership.
- Manage required employer postings, ensure compliance across all locations.
- Manage work visa sponsorships and EAD, coordinate immigrant and non-immigrant visa filings and extensions with our immigration attorney.
- Partner with leadership on compliance efforts related to UK, including filings with the Pension Regulator, HMRC filings, and collaborate with our UK accountants and employment attorneys.
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to screen/interview candidates, track data in HRIS, and manage the recruitment and onboarding process for roles within the company. Ensure that all necessary documentation is obtained and verified.
- Effectively communicate with candidates and oversee the entire selection process, as well as complete their new hire orientation and onboarding.
Performance Management & HR Analytics
- Participate in the design and implementation of performance management with SMART Goals and KPIs, create programs that drive team member development, retain exceptional talent, and reward high performance.
- Analyze and revise the evaluation structure and related tools aligned with the company's business plan and needs.
- Serve as a point of contact for HR analytics and reporting, providing insights to drive data-informed decisions.
HR Administration
- Provide back-up support with BMS system for HVAC, lights, and shades, adjust when needed, back-up for building management on visitors and delivery instructions.
- On a rotating basis, provide back-up front desk coverage for Office Coordinator when individual is OOO.
- Additional HR responsibilities, as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ progressive HR generalist experience; strong benefits background required; experience with international law and/or payroll highly desirable.
- Expert knowledge of all modules within Paylocity (HRIS) including benefits, time & labor, and spending accounts, and payroll.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple HR functions (with emphasis on benefits, HRIS, and compliance - in Financial Services, Banking or Investment Banking industry preferred).
- Knowledge of State and Federal employment and labor laws.
- Ability to create and reinforce a positive and professional working environment.
- Ability to work closely with corporate stakeholders across the board, maintaining confidentiality of information and processes.
- Great communication skills, written and verbal.
- Impeccable organization and time management skills.
