Job summary

Specialty Dental Brands is seeking an HR Business Partner to align people strategy with business goals across our practices nationwide. You’ll partner with regional leaders and office teams to coach managers, support performance, and handle employee relations with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.

You will travel about 30% to support field teams, implement HR programs, and ensure fair, compliant policies are applied consistently across locations.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years of direct HR Business Partner experience; HR Generalist or Employee Relations-focused roles preferred.
  • Experience supporting managers with employee relations and performance management
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience with corrective action, employee documentation, and workplace investigations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or field-based teams is a plus
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Building strong, trusted relationships with managers and operational leaders
  • Coaching managers through employee conversations, performance concerns, and day-to-day people decisions
  • Supporting performance management, corrective action, and employee documentation
  • Helping leaders navigate employee relations concerns and workplace conflict
  • Conducting or supporting employee investigations in partnership with Employee Relations
  • Partnering with leaders on employee engagement, retention, and team morale
  • Helping identify opportunities to strengthen workplace culture
  • Supporting leaders and employees through organizational changes
  • Providing guidance on HR policies and helping ensure they are applied consistently and fairly
  • Collaborating with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, and other partners across SDB
  • Looking at workforce trends and helping leaders turn those insights into practical next steps
  • Supporting HR programs, leadership development initiatives, and other people-focused projects

What You'll Do

As an HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with regional leaders, Practice Managers, Office Managers, and local leadership teams. You’ll be a go-to HR partner for the everyday people matters that come with leading a great team.

Travel: 30% based on business needs.

You’ll Spend Your Time
