Human Resources Business Partner
A Day in the Life
As the HR Business Partner, you will serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, onboarding, and HR coaching across your assigned departments. You’ll support leaders through complex people matters, facilitate effective employee onboarding, and lead initiatives that enhance engagement, equity, and performance. Your role will be a blend of coaching, advising, investigating, and collaborating—with a constant eye toward promoting a healthy and high-performing workplace.
How This Position Contributes to Our Mission
- First point of contact for leaders and team members for all aspects of the employee life cycle. Effectively coordinate overall HR support for employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, experience, and engagement.
- Coach management team on a range of leadership and HR issues including people implications of organizational decisions, workforce planning and talent development
- Lead all employee relations with professional grit with the aim of empowering employees and supervisors to have the tools and resources vital to resolve disagreements with mutual respect.
- Lead intake, make recommendations, and support resolution of sensitive employee relations matters; conduct workplace investigations if/as needed. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management and HR compliance issues
- Serves as champion, leads or supports initiatives focused on enhancing organization effectiveness, performance and talent, including but not limited to organization design and effectiveness, performance management, identification of training/development needs for division (nominations, coaching related to HR practices), employee engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Ensures the completion of all team member changes in the HRIS and other vendor systems as appropriate.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education in HR, business, or related field preferred
- 6–8 years of progressive HR experience with a strong working knowledge of and experience in multiple human resources subject areas including employee relations, employment/labor law, performance management, learning & development, change management, organizational development, and compensation/benefits.
- Proven success supporting departments of 200+ employees
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite and utilizing HRIS systems.
- Experience working in a healthcare and/or non-profit organization strongly preferred.
