Job summary

Worthington Steel in Porter, Indiana is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with plant leadership, develop talent, and strengthen culture at our Porter facility. You will coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness while guiding investigations with fairness and confidentiality.

The role focuses on full-cycle recruiting, workforce planning, and leveraging HR metrics to improve hiring, retention, and engagement in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Must have bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong employee relations and workplace investigations experience.
  • Proven ability to coach leaders and influence business decisions.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using HR metrics and data to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

What You'll Bring
