Job Description

The Human Resources Associate and Payroll Administrator position offers a unique opportunity for an individual with exceptional attention to detail, a strong process orientation, excellent customer service skills, and a dedication to serving the mission of the YMCA of Central Massachusetts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director of Human Resources and the Finance Department, supporting over 800 employees in the communities we serve. Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources and collaborating with hiring managers, the Human Resources Associate/Payroll Administrator will identify staffing needs and develop hiring plans. As part of a team, the Human Resources Associate & Payroll Admin will post and communicate job opportunities on job boards and social media, perform payroll and finance functions, and ensure high-quality internal operations. The role requires working under tight deadlines, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering trust within the team.

Location: Association Service Center, 766 Main Street 4th Floor, Worcester MA

Schedule: Typically Mondays to Fridays, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend work for meetings or events.

Job Type: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

Pay: $26.44 per hour

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; HR certificate or degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of HR experience, including Talent Acquisition and Payroll; Paylocity HRIS experience preferred
  • Strong written communication, training development, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience posting jobs on job boards and social media
  • Excellent report generation, organization, scheduling, and communication skills
