Description
The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department

- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, systems, records, and documentation.
- Update HRIS accurately and consistently.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Responsible for verifications of employment sent to HR department.
- Assist with coding HR related billing.
- Manage all new hire paperwork, ensure I9s and E-Verify are properly completed.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides administrative support to the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including reporting, processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and retirement celebrations.
- Greets guests and ensure check-in process is followed.
- Responsible for answering and routing all company inbound calls
- Back up for Office Administrator
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- High school diploma, or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Paylocity experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
