Job description

Job Overview

This lead role is responsible for the overall day-to-day oversight of the HR Technology team as well as HR applications and related tools including Oracle HCM Cloud, bSwift, and other software products in the HRIS ecosystem. This role acts in an advisory/lead capacity and the subject matter expert for a broad spectrum of HR systems and processes. Provides technical and project management expertise in planning, systems administration, systems configuration, change management, process improvement, and implementation. Assists in designing and operationalizing key HR data requirements, utilizing the data warehouse and core systems of record. Guides the team and collaborates with analysts and vendors to ensure accurate content, functionality, and system configuration. Supports system direction while ensuring integration with other supported platforms. Plays a key role in managing relationships with vendors, employees/management, and user groups. Leads testing for HR systems, including patches, upgrades, and implementations, and reviews release notes. Responsible for maintaining administrative security, developing ad hoc queries, and standard reports using tools like SQL, Oracle OTBI, Access, and Excel. Coordinates activities with business process owners and acts as a liaison with IS and HR/Payroll. Acts independently under general direction from the manager/director.

Note: Candidates for this work-from-home position must be based in Greater Cincinnati or the surrounding area.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field (equivalent experience accepted)
  • High proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with data warehouse utilization
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Access and HR applications
  • Knowledge of SaaS delivery model
  • Experience with requirements gathering and technical execution
  • Understanding of HIPAA and privacy regulations
  • 1-2 years experience in HRIS/Information Systems or related
  • Experience with SaaS vendors/solutions
  • Experience with case management and web-based portal tools in HR environment
  • 1-2 years of progressive leadership or project management experience

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities of the HR Technology Team, support HR applications, and ensure compliance. Allocate resources effectively. Use Case Management data to assess workloads and recommend actions. Provide technical guidance and training. Develop solutions for complex needs. Troubleshoot errors and inquiries. Conduct routine updates and team rounds. Participate in HR Operations meetings.
  • Provide expertise in planning, vendor selection, system configuration, and implementation for HR applications. Assist with HRIS roadmap and strategic planning. Act as primary systems administrator for Oracle HCM, evaluating and implementing modules. Propose process improvements and ensure data integrity. Work with vendors to resolve issues and lead system testing and upgrades. Train staff and serve as a key contact for HR.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain interfaces with internal and external parties. Oversee HR data needs and routine operations. Develop reports and serve as a backup for analytics. Maintain data privacy and ensure regulatory reporting compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders and external vendors. Manage change activities and document process improvements. Convert business needs into requirements and analyze results. Coordinate system integration and prioritize tasks. Engage with user groups and maintain relationships.
  • Conduct quality reviews and lead patch and upgrade planning. Ensure thorough testing and documentation of changes. Resolve system issues with vendors. Evaluate application upgrades and coordinate implementation. Train staff on new functionality.
  • Lead special projects as needed. Maintain technical skills and act as project lead for new modules or integrations.
