Job summary

A family-owned plumbing and HVAC provider in Newark, New Jersey, is seeking an HR Compliance Administrator. This full-time role involves assisting with onboarding, conducting training for employees, maintaining HR compliance, and supporting performance reviews, all while working in a collaborative environment that prioritizes employee satisfaction. Ideal candidates should have a degree and strong organizational skills, with a commitment to compliance excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for daily operations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and document completion.
• Conduct in-person training for new and existing employees.
• Maintain HR files and ensure compliance.
• Assist managers during performance reviews process.
• Perform audit related compliance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain both Compliance and HR calendars.
• Perform audit related compliance tasks as assigned.
• Additional HR and Compliance duties as required.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation and document completion.
• Assist with phone screen and reference checks of candidates.
• Conduct in-person training for new and existing employees on company systems, programs, and procedures.
• Provide Managers with assistance during the performance reviews process.
• Keep all HR files organized and compliant.
• Maintain both Compliance and HR calendars.
• Perform audit related compliance tasks as assigned.
• Additional HR and Compliance duties as required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with working hours scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
