The Louisiana Special School District is seeking a Human Resources Analyst A, B, C, or Specialist to assist with day-to-day HR functions including hiring, onboarding, employee support, and compliance.
Location: Baton Rouge. Appointment type: Probational or Promotional. Work hours typically 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. The role requires knowledge of State Civil Service rules and SSD policies, with familiarity of LDOE Bulletin requirements.
The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency that provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs).The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.
The Human Resources Analyst A, B, C, or Specialist will assist with day-to-day HR functions including hiring, onboarding, employee support, and compliance. This position plays a key role in maintaining effective HR operations and supporting our workforce.
Three years of human resources experience; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. The chosen application will be required to take a probationary appointment.
Location: The Human Resources Specialist position is located in the Human Resources Department at the Louisiana Special School District.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Human Resources Analyst A, B, C, or Human Resources Specialist depending on the qualifications of the selected applicant.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
