Job summary

West River Health Services seeks an experienced HR professional to serve as its senior Human Resources leader. The final title—HR Manager or HR Director—will be determined by qualifications and depth of experience.

This hands-on role has direct CEO access and oversees all HR functions across the organization. The position leads employee relations, recruitment, compliance, compensation programs, and HR operations while advising the CEO and leadership team on workforce and culture matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience, with at least 2 years in a lead/management role.
• Working knowledge of federal employment laws and multi-function HR operations.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations, investigations, disciplinary processes, and terminations.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment with emphasis on clinical, technical, and hard-to-fill positions.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state employment law (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII) and CMS/HIPAA requirements.
• Administer compensation structures and employee benefits programs; support market benchmarking.
• Provide managers with tools and guidance for performance management and corrective action.
• Oversee HR operations: onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data integrity, and employee records.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on workforce and culture matters.
• Supervise and develop HR support staff.
