Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks a Human Factors Engineer (T02) or Principal Engineer (T03) to support the Sentinel program. You will contribute to design for maintainability, human-machine interface development, requirements management, and operator workstation design.

Ideal candidates have a background in psychology/human factors, strong communication skills, and experience with MIL-STD-1472G. US citizenship and a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance at time of application
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to segment, program and customer community

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements compliant with Human Factors best practices and MIL-STD-1472G
• Conduct Human Factors analyses including task analyses and workload analyses
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specs through analysis and interface definition
• Perform computer-based and empirical accessibility assessments
• Document HFE processes and products per US Military Data Item Descriptions
• Collaborate across IPTs and support design of workstation geometry and displays for a full anthropometric range
