Job summary

REGENT, based in Rhode Island, seeks a Human Factors Engineer to define the human side of the Seaglider program. You will translate crew and passenger tasks into cockpit and cabin requirements, and lead mockups, evaluations, and evidence gathering for certification with USCG.

The role requires end-to-end ownership of the crew station, from requirements to implementation, and close collaboration with software, hardware, and certification teams.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of anthropometry, workload assessment, and human error analysis.
• Experience owning crew station from requirements through implementation.
• Proven ability to design and run usability studies with operators.
• Ability to write verifiable, traceable human factors requirements in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop cockpit and cabin human factors requirements derived from crew and passenger tasks.
• Drive layout and interface decisions using anthropometry, visibility, and workload analysis.
• Build physical and digital mockups to support evaluations.
• Conduct formative and summative evaluations with pilots and passengers; convert findings into design changes.
• Produce certification-grade evidence for regulatory compliance.
