Job summary

Trilogy Federal LLC is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to apply human factors engineering, usability, and human-centered design to improve healthcare information systems for a large federal customer. You will conduct workflow analyses, usability testing, and translate findings into actionable recommendations to enhance safety, efficiency, and end-user effectiveness.

Travel is possible; the role is a 9-month contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in human factors engineering, usability, HCD, or related discipline.
• Experience evaluating systems, processes, or workflows for usability and safety.
• Experience conducting human factors/usability analyses and translating findings into recommendations.
• Knowledge of human factors standards, usability, accessibility, and HCD practices.
• Understanding SAFe Lean- Agile principles and experience with Agile teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct human factors, usability, and workflow assessments of healthcare information systems and EHR workflows.
• Apply human-centered design and HFE principles to identify usability and safety issues and recommend improvements.
• Perform workflow analysis, usability testing, user observation, interviews, and related evaluation methods.
• Facilitate user demonstrations and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support EHR Go-Live, Post Go-Live stabilization, and field usability activities.
• Document assessment findings, risks, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and apply SAFe Lean-Agile practices.
