GuidePoint Security Overview

GuidePoint Security provides trusted cybersecurity expertise, solutions, and services that help organizations make better decisions and minimize risk. By taking a three-tiered, holistic approach to evaluating security posture and ecosystems, GuidePoint enables some of the nation's top organizations, such as Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, to identify threats, optimize resources, and integrate best-fit solutions that mitigate risk.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Build and manage a team of Security Solution Engineers.
  2. Lead the Solution Engineering team to deliver GuidePoint's service capabilities in partnership with Account Management.
  3. Provide mentoring and escalation support for the solution engineering team.
  4. Become an expert on GuidePoint's service delivery capabilities.
  5. Identify opportunities to offer complex solutions addressing customer problems and pain points.
  6. Establish trust with customers through transparency, consistency, and expert guidance.
  7. Communicate complex technical information effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  8. Navigate the cybersecurity product and vendor market landscape to assist customers.
  9. Provide thought leadership via customer interactions, trade shows, and conference speaking engagements.
  10. Present to customers on cybersecurity market trends, product differentiators, and control frameworks.
  11. Share quarterly updates on emerging security technologies with internal teams.
  12. This is a remote position when not traveling for client or internal meetings, with up to 50% travel to clients in New England and New York Metro areas. Residency in Boston or New York Metro is required.
Technical Requirements
  1. Ability to manage and mentor a team of highly technical solution engineers.
  2. Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing security controls across diverse IT and enterprise systems.
  3. Proficiency in multiple cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to: Next-Gen Firewalls, DLP, SSE, NAC, PAM, EDR, NDR, SIEM, APPSEC, CNAP, etc.
Experience, Education, Certifications
  1. Minimum 10 years in an enterprise security consultative role, building and assessing security architectures and programs.
  2. Minimum 5 years in a technical leadership role managing a team of sales or solution engineers.
  3. Experience in a corporate operational or technical leadership role.
  4. Experience selling cybersecurity technologies and services.
