Job summary

Becker County EDA is seeking a Housing Specialist to administer Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher programs, and other EDA-owned residential properties. You will handle applicant screening, eligibility, rents, subsidies, inspections, renewals, and coordination of maintenance, vendor oversight, and HUD reporting, working under the Executive Director.

Ideal candidates have an Associate Degree in public administration, human services, or related field, with 2+ years of experience in subsidized

Qualifications

Associate degree in Public Administration, Human Services, Business, or closely related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of direct experience administering stat or federally subsidized properties and/or programs, affordable housing portfolios, property management, or related fields.
HUD/HCV (Section 8) experience strongly preferred and knowledge of applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of Public Housing and HCV programs per HUD regulations and EDA policies.
Process applications, determine eligibility, screenings, admissions, and voucher issuance; coordinate housing placements.
Calculate rents, utilities allowances, income eligibility, assets, and Housing Assistance Payments; conduct recertifications and inspections.
