Job description

Hibbett | City Gear is looking for dedicated drivers to transport merchandise from one Hibbett or City Gear location to another. Drivers are responsible for ensuring that all boxes received make it to their destinations without damage and all merchandise is present. Drivers are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the vehicles. Drivers are also required to have and maintain a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Complete shipment logs at every location
2. Load, secure, and protect product in delivery vehicle and safely transport merchandise
3. Document all vehicle movement on daily route sheets
4. Offload merchandise in a secure and safe manner
5. Maintain routine vehicle inspections and service to ensure proper working condition of vehicle
6. Always keep vehicle clean and orderly
7. Adhere to state and federal break requirements
8. Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Valid driver's license
2. 3 years of experience driving
3. Positive customer service skills that will be used when interacting with store personnel and customers
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
5. Attention to detail, time management and ability to multi-task
6. Must be able to lift 30 pounds
7. Proficient in applicable technology such as GPS and Time Clocks
8. Must pass a background check
9. Must be insurable through Hibbett | City Gear's insurance vendor and maintain insurability.
