Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI, seeks an HTM Imaging Specialist to maintain, calibrate, and repair diagnostic imaging equipment across our health system. The role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable clinical operations while building expertise across imaging modalities.

You'll collaborate with Radiology, HTM staff, OEMs, and third-party providers to resolve issues, reduce downtime, and support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in biomedical technology or electronics technology.
• 2 years experience in biomedical equipment repair or imaging service.
• OEM/Imaging service training required or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CRES certification preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems and document work in CMMS.
• Experience with imaging modalities (CT/MRI) preferred.

A Day inthe Life

• The HTM Imaging Specialist supports the maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment across Munson Healthcare. This role requires a strong foundation in biomedical/imaging equipment service, electronics, imaging service, military or factory technical training, OEM training, or related hands‑on technical service work. The position supports equipment performance, patient and staff safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable clinical operations while developing additional expertise across imaging modalities.

• Works closely with Radiology, clinical teams, HTM colleagues, OEMs, and third‑party service providers to resolve equipment issues, reduce downtime, document service activity, and support safe, effective patient care.

Qualifications

What’s Required

• Associate’s degree in biomedical technology or electronics technology OR be military or factory trained in radiology equipment service.
• 2 years experience in biomedical equipment repair, imaging service, electronics repair, field service, or related hands‑on technical service work.
• OEM Training, Independent Imaging Training, or Modality‑Specific Imaging Service Training -Required or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
• Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical systems, use common electrical test equipment, follow technical documentation, and document work accurately in a CMMS.
• Experience servicing imaging equipment such as general radiology/fluoroscopy, portable units, C-arms, digital X‑ray detectors, mammography, CT, MRI, DSA, nuclear medicine, cardiac catheterization labs, ultrasound, or imaging systems networking preferred.
