Job summary

Munson Healthcare, northern Michigan’s largest healthcare system, seeks a high-skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET III) to repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment across our eight hospitals. This role requires CBET or equivalent certification and at least four years in healthcare equipment service.

• Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology or military trained in biomedical equipment service.
• 4 years experience in healthcare biomedical equipment repair and calibration.
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) - Must be from the International Certification Commission; if not, must obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Proficient in CMMS equipment data reporting and management.

A Day inthe Life

A high skilled Biomed with 4years’ experience and CBET or CHTM certification. Under minimal supervision, HTM Tech III’s will provide expert-level experience in the repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment. BMET III’s are expected to be proficient in CMMS equipment data reporting and management.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
