Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an HSSE Manager to shape how health, safety, security and environment practices are lived daily across a manufacturing site. You will guide culture, balance regulatory requirements with real operations, and apply Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to reduce risks.

  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Environmental, Chemical, or Occupational Health Sciences.
  • Approximately 8 years of HSE experience, ideally in manufacturing.
  • At least 3 years in a people or team leadership role.
  • Strong capability in coaching, influencing, and collaborative problem solving.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing HSSE team that supports site objectives.
  • Design and execute HSSE strategies focused on learning and prevention.
  • Partner with site leaders through coaching and trusted advisory support.
  • Apply risk-based and operational learning approaches to daily work.
  • Strengthen incident, near-miss, and learning processes that are nonpunitive.
  • Use audits and inspections as tools for insight and improvement.
  • Analyze trends and share clear HSSE insights across the organization.
  • Contribute to global and regional HSSE programs and best practices.
