Job summary

HMH is seeking an HSSE Intern in Houston, TX for a 12-week program (May 24 – Aug 13, 2027). You will support Health, Safety, Security, and Environment initiatives, helping to develop digital systems and analyze data to improve compliance and safety.

You will learn about global HSSE practices, interact with multiple functions, and gain exposure to executive leadership while working with a multinational team.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the time the internship commences and working toward completion of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with Engineering or Safety majors preferred.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Good interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results.
• Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and subsystem.
• Familiarity with Microsoft office products, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Developing a digital system to assign and track compliance tasks
• Analyzing HSSE data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Establish a process to track HSSE inspections digitally
• Participate in the annual risk assessment review project
