Job summary

Moretrench Industrial in Riverview, FL is seeking a dedicated HSEQ Coordinator to support safety and environmental programs across the region. In this hands‑on role, you will work with the Business Unit Safety Manager to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reporting findings, coordinating corrective actions, and delivering safety training while helping to develop and enforce company safety policies.

Qualifications

• CHST or equivalent certification preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• 1+ year hands-on safety experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Regional travel required; heavy travel possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing safety and environmental hazard activities for the region.
• Assist Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections as directed by the Business Unit Safety Manager.
• Report inspection results to the Business Unit Safety Manager.
• Assist in acquiring resources for corrective action when needed.
• Perform follow-ups to ensure closure of unsafe, defective, or non‑compliant items.
• Facilitate safety and environmental training for employees as needed.
• Assist in development, implementation, and enforcement of Company Safety Policies and Procedures.

Moretrench is looking for a HSEQ Coordinator out of our Riverview, FL office.

Responsibilities

In this hands‑on position, you will work directly with the Business Unit Safety Manager with the following:

• Assisting with directing safety and environmental hazard activities for the region
• Assisting Branch Manager with ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations
• Conducting routine safety inspections as directed by the Business Unit Safety Manager
• Reporting inspection results to the Business Unit Safety Manager
• Assisting with acquiring resources for corrective action when needed
• Conducting and following up with safety inspections to ensure closure of items identified as unsafe, defective or non‑compliant
• Facilitating training for employees on a variety of safety and environmental topics as needed
• Assisting in the development, implementation, and enforcement of Company Safety Policies and Procedures
