Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an HSE Technician to serve as a visible, trusted presence on the production floor, driving a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace. You will partner with teams to strengthen safety culture, identify risks, and implement practical solutions affecting daily operations.

You will help ensure compliance with regulations, coach safe work practices, and contribute to incident investigations and KPI achievement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, ideally with HSE exposure.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements is preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States required.
  • Experience with safety culture or behavior-based safety programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and advise supervisors on HSE practices and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments on the production floor.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
  • Analyze trends and recommend preventive safety measures.
  • Support and implement HSE programs across the Group and Business Unit.
  • Promote engagement and safe behaviors across the site.
  • Contribute to HSE strategic planning and KPI achievement.

You will partner closely with team members, supervisors, and leaders to strengthen safety culture, proactively identify risks, and implement practical solutions that make a real difference. From driving compliance to coaching safe work practices, your work will directly contribute to operational excellence and employee well-being.
