Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of local and national HSE regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in conducting HSE inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to train and engage employees.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • Experience with HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001) desirable.

Job Description

The HSE Technician will support the implementation and maintenance of Hitachi, Ltd.'s Health, Safety, and Environmental programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. This role involves proactive measures to prevent incidents, promote a safe working culture, and minimize environmental impact across Hitachi operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and inspection logs.

  • Support the delivery of HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, energy consumption, and emissions, and assist in identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all operational activities.
