Description du poste

At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting‑edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

We share a common purpose – to make the world more connected and sustainable. And we’re excited about the innovative ways we can change the world. If you are also interested in turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good, then Jacobs is where you belong. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated HSE Supervisor (Night Shift) to support Life Sciences North America (LSNA) project portfolio.

As part of our team, in this initial remit you will provide HSE support and leadership to a pharmaceutical project in Wilson/Cary, NC. You will be directly supporting the Project HSE Manager to lead HSE excellence and deliver a project that ensures no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity. We’ll ask you to support Beyond Zero performance that is inclusive of the Line of Business’ (LOB) vision and strategic plans as well as provide overall leadership, management and direction to the team and client assigned.

We’ll rely on you to take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm and for driving strategies and performance while supporting continuous improvement. You’ll own and maintain open communication with the HSE Manager as well as peer HSE team members to provide technical resources guidance, to ensure alignment and to ensure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support project HSE strategic plans and objectives.

By establishing working relationships, you’ll provide visible support and leadership to all client and project stakeholders by providing interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program. This key position will be the champion for driving best practices and continuous improvement efforts for positive motivation, employee development and resource planning that meet or exceed overall HSE business goals and objectives.

Future project assignments may require additional travel within the US, and potentially North America.

If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • A professional HSE Certification and/or degree in construction safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of construction HSE experience and in managing/supporting subcontractor safe work
  • OSHA 30 Hour Training (construction) preferred
  • Experience delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and/or similar “outreach” and coaching
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate at all levels
  • Ability to identify and recognize unsafe acts or conditions, and utilize Stop-Work Authority where appropriate
  • Working knowledge in applicable regulatory compliance, as well as all federal, state and local agencies requirements
Ideally, You’ll Have
  • A working knowledge of standard construction practices, processes, procedures and terminology
  • Experience in Life Sciences construction projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, Publisher, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
