Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. in Honolulu, Hawaii (Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, Lihue) seeks a Health, Safety, and Environment Supervisor to promote a world-class safety culture across projects in Hawaii.

You will mentor teams to achieve outstanding safety performance and protect our people. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, 7 years in health and safety, strong knowledge of OH&S laws, and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 7 years’ experience in health and safety; 2 years supervisory is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder relationships.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude for new tech.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
• Delivers project-specific HSE training and assists with district training development.
• Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Builds processes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.
• Leads project HSE inspections and monitors the effectiveness of inspections and safety plans.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Supervises, coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
