Job summary

CBRE is seeking an HSE Specialist for on-site roles in North Reading and Woburn, MA. The candidate will support monitoring injury and incident performance, implement safety solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance.

This role may serve as an HSE resource for the facility and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate safety and environmental risks in robotics and R&D settings. Ideal candidates have a safety/EHS degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with preference for

What You'll Do

Provides support for monitoring injury, illness, andincident related performance.

Supports thedevelopment and implementation of strategic solutions that will improve the performanceresults as required.

Provides health, safety and environmental regulatory compliance support and reports findings, concerns,and deficiencies. Responds to client/customer/member concerns regardingHSE matters and will have the support of both the client and CBRE leadershipteams to utilize stop work authority in alignment with Amazon and CBRErequirements of identifying unsafe acts or conditions that require hazardcontrols before proceeding.

Supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility(Client Code of Conduct) by maintaining theprivacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics andintegrity, reporting non-compliance and adhering to applicable federal, stateand local laws and regulations, accreditation and client policies andprocedures.

May act as a HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) subjectmatter resource for the facility, and other duties as assigned within the scopeagreed to by CBRE HSE management and the client leadership team.

Take proactive measures to identify potential safety hazardsand environmental risks associated with robotics manufacturing and R&Dactivities, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implementmitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in thisposition.

Bachelors’ degree in safety, environmental, health, andsafety (EHS) preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of years of relevant experienceOR Bachelors’ degree OR equivalent in internships, senior projects,or capstone in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, robotics) OR EHS relatedsubjects (i.e. water chemistry, environmental science, etc.).

Fundamental knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety andenvironmental regulations is essential is preferred.

Experience working in manufacturing, robotics, hightechnology manufacturing processes, and facility maintenance and management ispreferred.

Proven track record of successfully implementing HSEprograms and initiatives.

Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functionalteams and driving results in improving HSE performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite

Having professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHMMare a plus

Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skillssuch as, but not limited to, relationship management, negotiating, and dealingwith difficult personalities.

Focused field of work in strictly EPA, OSHA, local andfederal regulations, or industry standards for EHS

Solid problem solving, analytical, and critical thinkingskills

Experience with initiating and completing risk assessments

Ability to interact professionally with all organizationallevels and to build productive internal/external working relationships.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey safetyprocedures and guidelines to diverse audiences

Strong understanding of general safety principles andregulations applicable to manufacturing and R&D environments.

Proficiency in incident investigation techniques andcorrective action implementation.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, shortcorrespondence, and memos and askclarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers,and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internaldepartment and/or large groups of employees.

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figuressuch as percentages.

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solveproblems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with a sense of urgency.

The minimum salary for the HSE Specialist position is $90,000 annually [or $43.26 per hour] and the maximum salary for the HSE Specialist position is $105,000 annually [or $50.48 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
