Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee the project HSE Management System, drive accountability programs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations across Clarksville project sites. The role requires travel to assigned project locations and leadership in training and audits.

The position emphasizes implementing current HSSE plans, facilitating incident investigations, supervising HSE staff, and coordinating with site management to maintain a strong safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational/environmental safety and health management or equivalent.
• 5+ years of safety experience as an individual contributor in construction or industrial fabrication facility or equivalent background.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• OSHA 510 with minimum two years in construction safety.
• 5 years’ experience on a large project in a construction safety role.
• Advanced knowledge and ability to enforce all federal/state/local and company safety regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support safety commitments and core values on the project.
• Represent the company with high moral standards while following the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations at all times.
• Communicate HSSE plans with site management and subcontractors.
• Lead development and execution of Project HSE and Security Plans.
• Oversee incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Administer HSSE audits and track corrective actions.
• Develop Project Safety Goals and Action Plans.
• Train staff and new hires on safety procedures.
• Supervise the project HSE staff.
