Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, LA is seeking an HSE Representative to lead safety inspections, hazard recognition, and routine HSE meetings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

You will assist with safety policy development, maintain accurate safety records, and support trainings for new hires. Candidates with shipyard experience and MS Office proficiency are preferred; EMT/First Responder training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Industrial or manufacturing shipyard experience.
• 3 months HSE experience is a plus.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular safety inspections and test equipment for hazards.

Job Title: HSE Representative

Job Summary: The HSE Representative will be responsible for HSE inspections, hazard recognition, performing HSE meetings, record keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring the facility’s machinery, equipment, and overall working conditions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and assist with testing equipment to identify potential hazards.
• Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate safety records and reports as required.
• Perform other duties related to maintaining a safe work environment as directed.
• Conducts safety orientation for new hires with respect to safety rules and procedures.
• Assists with safety meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Working experience within an industrial or manufacturing setting with shipyard experience.

Skills & Abilities

• 3 months of working experience in the HSE field a plus
• Must be highly motivated and proficient in using MS office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.).
• Oracle experience is a plus.
• Good communication skills including written and oral communications.
• Basic knowledge of safety techniques and first aid is a plus.
• EMT, First Responder and First Aid Training is a plus.
