Job summary

Integra is seeking an HSE Professional to support Health, Safety, and Environmental programs across manufacturing environments in Dalton, Georgia. You will help implement site safety plans, promote a proactive safety culture, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will also conduct inspections, lead training, and participate in safety audits with operations, driving continuous improvement and safer work practices company-wide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety/environmental field.
  • 5–10 years in health, safety, and environmental roles.
  • Experience with manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Experience conducting safety training, inspections, and investigations.
  • Familiarity with environmental, DOT, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing HSE programs per company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct facility inspections and risk assessments; support safety audits and corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training for employees and contractors on multiple topics.
  • Lead or support daily safety huddles and safety committee initiatives.
  • Assist with DOT compliance, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support continuous improvement of safety programs across operations.

Job description

The Opportunity

The HSE Professional supports the implementation and effectiveness of Integra Mission Critical’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across manufacturing and operational environments. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture that protects employees, facilities, and operations.

What you will do?


  • The HSE Professional assists in executing the facility’s Health, Safety, and Environmental programs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role supports the Facility Safety Manager in implementing site safety plans, improving safety practices, and incorporating lessons learned into daily operations.

  • The position performs routine inspections of the facility, workstations, and work practices to assess risk, verify compliance, and recommend improvements to reduce hazards and strengthen safety performance. The HSE Professional participates in scheduled safety audits and works with operational teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

  • This role develops and delivers safety training programs for employees and contractors, covering topics such as injury prevention, fire prevention, proper equipment handling, chemical safety, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, hazardous communication, and emergency response procedures. The HSE Professional conducts new employee safety orientations and task-specific training when job assignments or work conditions change.

  • The HSE Professional leads or supports daily safety huddles, including Stretch-n-Flex programs, and encourages employee participation in safety committees and safety improvement initiatives. The role collaborates with operations teams to maintain compliance related to chemical storage, hazardous and universal waste handling, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) requirements.

  • The position supports compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations where applicable and assists with maintaining documentation related to regulatory requirements. The HSE Professional also participates in incident and near-miss investigations, identifies root causes, and provides recommendations to leadership to prevent recurrence.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support facility operations and continuous improvement of the company’s safety programs.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in health, safety, and environmental roles

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or industrial operations

  • Experience conducting safety training, facility inspections, and incident investigations

  • Experience with environmental compliance, hazardous materials handling, or DOT compliance preferred

  • Experience in high-risk industrial environments, large-scale manufacturing, or commissioning environments is highly desirable

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices

  • Understanding of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Ability to conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments

  • Strong communication and training facilitation skills

  • Ability to investigate incidents and identify root causes

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing environments

  • Preferred certifications include one or more of the following:

  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification

  • First Aid / CPR Certification

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)

  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)

  • Certified Safety & Health Official (CSHO)

  • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)

  • Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) or Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)

  • Train-the-Trainer certifications are considered a plus.
