Job summary

Cummins Inc. is offering a Placement Student role in Health, Safety and Environment within the Power Systems Business, based at Daventry, UK. You will gain exposure to ISO standards, HSE projects and day-to-day site administration.

The placement runs Summer 2027 for a 12-month cooperative arrangement. You will work closely with the HSE team, develop practical skills, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree with interest in HSE studies and policy.
• Interest in HSE issues and ability to relate to business environment; manufacturing/customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Strong IT, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills; teamwork and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line support to the site HSE team and lead or support HSE projects.
• Assist in maintaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 including auditing exposure.
• Maintain and control documentation related to standards.
• Analyse HSE data and support day-to-day administration.
• Understand business changes and support continuous improvement.
• Communicate HSE performance and provide training where possible.
