WHATS WE OFFER
As the HSE Manager for our Wilmington, MA site, you will ensure the HSE competence of the site and develop, implement, and realize the site HSE plans. You will also develop and structure the HSE processes in order to ensure HSE compliance with all applicable laws, external and internal regulations and standards including ISO management systems.
Support/inspire and drive Site in achieving zero injuries/zero incidents working environment, through training and creating awareness, development and implementation of HSE and Security Programs, performance analysis, inspections, etc.
Actively participate in the development and implementation of the site strategy and annual Operations Plan in cooperation with the management leadership team members
Define the annual HSE plan, including a HSE audit plan, seek approval for it and implement and manage the execution of this plan in accordance with the corporate multiyear plan (CMYP)
Monitor the execution of the HSE plan and take corrective actions in order to achieve the results
Periodically verify the effectiveness of the HSE plans
Develop and implement a training program regarding HSE
Responsible for initiating and developing the right change, including leading the direct part of it and supporting any indirect (line management responsibility) parts
Show leadership on HSE and Security as the highest ranking HSES professional within the Site
Define and implement performance indicators and ensure periodic reporting of actual performance against these indicators
Ensure to have the appropriate HSE system in place and maintained, in line with all applicable laws, regulations and standards
Identify site specific HSE issues and put forward to site line management. Support the implementation of agreed upon improvement plans
Plan, execute and follow up on HSE audits, in order to ensure that activities are carried out according to approved policies and procedures
Ensure that deficiencies found during the HSE audits are translated into corrective actions, monitor the execution of the corrective actions and escalate to the appropriate management level, if and where required
Ensure site compliance with all applicable internal and external HSE requirements, regulations and standards
Oversee contract licensed wastewater treatment operators and operation of the Wilmington site's wastewater treatment facility ensuring compliance against wastewater discharge permit.
Oversee an EHS specialist to support execution of HSE plans
What You Offer
Minimum Background/Experience:
BS degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field required.
A minimum of 4 years relevant experience, preferably in the chemical industry.
Preferred qualifications
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Process safety experience preferred.
People management experience preferred.
