Job summary

You will attend team meetings, apply critical thinking to real-world challenges, and develop skills while meeting safety standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety in the United States.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks with quality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to support ABB operations and ensure timely project completion within timelines.
• Leverage insights about customer needs and ABB offerings to identify suitable solutions for clients and project results.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
• Seek feedback from manager and teammates to improve performance and skills.
• Analyze HSE metrics to identify top offenders and develop programs to address them.
• Evaluate employee satisfaction with HSE activities and develop action plans to improve it.
• Lead the annual Activity Based Risk Assessment update for production areas.
• Complete self-assessments (chemicals, Lockout Tagout, Machine Guarding) and develop corrective actions.
