Eckerd Connects seeks an HSE/HSD teacher for the Albuquerque Job Corps program. The role involves delivering instruction in designated subject areas within a standard classroom, fostering a positive climate, and ensuring student motivation and discipline to maximize learning outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or equivalent, is DOE certified for New Mexico, and passes a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; DOE certified to teach in New Mexico.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen per policy.
• Employment contingent on successful nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Instructs in designated subject area in a regular classroom.
• Fosters positive classroom atmosphere to maximize motivation.
• Maintains discipline to maximize learning.
• Establishes strong student-instructor rapport.
• Utilizes all curriculum resources available.
• Maintains attendance records and forwards them daily.

Salary Range: $45,000

Duties & Responsibilities

• The HSE/HSD teacher performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
• The HSE/HSD teacher promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation.
• Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
• Establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport.
• Utilizes all possible curriculum resources available,
• Maintains student personnel folders; records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. DOE Certified to teach in state of New Mexico.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
