Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking an Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator for its Pekin, Illinois facility. This role supports site-wide HSE programs, incident investigations, audits, and regulatory compliance within a heavy industrial setting.

You will collaborate with site leadership, supervisors, and regulatory agencies, promoting a proactive safety culture and robust environmental controls in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Interest in occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Willingness to learn OSHA, EPA, and state requirements.
• Ability to work with diverse employees, supervisors, and regulators.
• Experience or willingness to work in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of HSE standards and programs.
• Conduct inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses.
• Assist OSHA compliance and recordkeeping activities.
• Coordinate and deliver HSE training and track records.
• Support environmental compliance, reporting, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and promote reporting culture.
