Job summary

ENFRA LLC is seeking an HSE Coordinator to assist in supervising project safety and maintaining a safe work environment. You will coordinate safety efforts, communicate conditions to managers, and help develop safety programs and plans.

The role requires 5 years of construction experience, 1 year on-site safety exposure, OSHA 30hr, and First Aid/CPR/AED certified training. Travel up to 5% of the time to job sites or offices.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of construction experience.
  • 1 year of experience as an on-site safety person.
  • Complete First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and hazard control methods.
  • Safety training and certifications relevant to scope of work.

Responsibilities

  • Observe workers for proper use of safety equipment.
  • Inspect fire-prevention equipment and first-aid supplies.
  • Test areas for hazard exposures using appropriate equipment.
  • Prepare daily safety reports with corrective-action recommendations.
  • Investigate accidents to establish root cause and preventive measures.
  • Document accidents, violations, and unsafe conditions.
  • Assist in developing SHMP, PSSP, and JSA; conduct weekly safety meetings.
  • Demonstrate equipment use and conduct safety training.

Overview

The HSE Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the overall supervision and administration of project safety to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This role will also coordinate project safety efforts to prevent accidents and injuries while communicating details of project safety conditions to the HSE Manager, HSE Director, and various levels of project supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in developing and conducting field safety orientation training.
  • Daily inspection of machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safe work practices.
  • Observes workers to determine appropriate use of prescribed safety equipment, such as glasses, helmets, goggles, respirators, and clothing.
  • Inspection of specified areas for fire-prevention equipment, first-aid supplies, and other safety devices.
  • Tests working areas for hazard exposures (noise, toxic, etc.) using associated testing equipment.
  • Prepares daily report of findings with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Investigation of accidents per program procedures to establish root cause for use in recommending preventive safety measures.
  • Documents all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions or behavior.
  • Assisting in development of standardized job safety analysis (JSA), corporate safety and health management program (SHMP), as well as project specific safety plans (PSSP). Conduct weekly safety meetings with workers to instruct them on company/project safety practices and requirements.
  • Demonstrates use of equipment and conducts safety training.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • 5 years of construction experience.
  • 1 year of experience as an on-site safety person.
  • OSHA 30hr card for the Construction Industry.
  • Completed First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
  • Specialized training relevant to scope of work.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and hazard control methods.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)
Travel Requirements
  • 5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Low indoor temperature.
  • High indoor temperature.
  • Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
  • Noisy environment.
  • Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
