Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is hiring an HSE Coordinator to monitor and advance health, safety and environment practices on Orlando projects. You’ll help implement plans, train teams, and ensure compliance across work sites with strong communication and teamwork.

The role emphasizes hazard identification, inspections, incident response, and building a culture of safety across projects in the region. Applicants pursuing OH&S degrees are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Working toward Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Working toward safety designation.
  • 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of OH&S, environmental legislation and HSE processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Ability to develop, influence and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and assists with implementation of the project HSE Plan, environmental plan, regulatory requirements, and any other safe work practices.
  • Identifies and conducts project specific HSE training.
  • Provides project team with HSE information and trends and helps create action plans.
  • Assists with hazard identification tools development and implementation.
  • Conducts project HSE inspections and verifies corrective actions.
  • Supports emergency response plan implementation and project security requirements.
  • Gathers and reviews trade documentation and monitors safety compliance.
  • Verifies equipment and tool inspections are conducted and documented.
  • Notifies stakeholders of incidents and supports investigations.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships.

Here’s how a HSE Coordinator for PCL Construction Services, Inc. within Orlando contributes to our team:

  • Monitors and assists with implementation of the project HSE Plan, environmental plan, regulatory requirements, and any other safe work practices.

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
