Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an entry level HSE Coordinator to oversee safety compliance on construction sites in the Charlotte area. This field-based role focuses on inspections, hazard identification, incident support, and regulatory adherence, with opportunities to grow within a leading employee-owned electrical contractor.

You will spend ~80% of time on active sites, coordinating with crews and management, and participating in safety meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Oracle preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits on construction sites.
• Identify hazardous conditions and propose corrective actions.
• Assist in incident investigations and reporting.
• Support pre-task planning and safety meetings.
• Assist with incident response and trainings as needed.
• Prepare forms and reports per program procedures and regulations.
• Travel up to 25% as required.

Your Next Opportunity

The HSE Coordinator is an entry level non-exempt safety position. It is a field-based position, focusing on safety oversight and compliance within construction environments. Responsibilities include conducting regular site inspections, identifying and resolving hazardous conditions, supporting incident investigations, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct frequent walk-through inspections of construction areas (Upwards of 80% of the Job is spent in the field doing audits and interacting with the crews).
• Assist in identifying, documenting, and recommending resolution of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions; Assist in identifying corrective actions and follow through to ensure corrections have been made.
• Participate in job pre-task planning and job site safety meetings.
• Assist with investigating personal injury and property damage accidents.
• Assist with compiling data, photographs, etc.; prepare appropriate forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, and local accident regulations.
• Assist in incident response as required.
• May assist trainings, orientations, or other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
• Professional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to acquire an understanding of basic job-site safety work practices and regulations.
• Time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines

• Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees within regional business unit, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

Working Conditions

• General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
