Job description

We are partnered with an industry‑leading manufacturing organization seeking a hands‑on EHS Consultant to support a high‑volume production facility. This onsite consulting position will focus on day‑to‑day EHS execution, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Start Date: January 2026

Contract Duration: 6‑month contract to hire opportunity

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily, onsite EHS support within a high‑volume manufacturing operation, maintaining a strong presence on the production floor.
  • Partner with site leadership, operations, and maintenance teams to implement, maintain, and improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and behavioral observations; document findings and support corrective action development and closure.
  • Perform hazard identification, JSA, and risk assessments; recommend and help implement effective control measures.
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts related to OSHA, EPA, and local requirements, including documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Lead and participate in incident, injury, near‑miss, and emergency investigations; complete root cause analyses and track corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver site‑specific EHS training, toolbox talks, and onboarding sessions for a bilingual workforce (English/Spanish).
  • Assist with contractor safety oversight, including pre‑job reviews and onsite safety monitoring.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
  • Track EHS metrics and KPIs; assist with reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted EHS resource for employees and supervisors, responding to safety questions and concerns in real time.
  • Support site and corporate EHS initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience, with at least 3 years supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Ability to commute onsite 5 days per week.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable EHS regulations.
  • Ability to work independently in a consultant‑style role while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and training facilitation skills.
