Bilfinger is seeking an experienced HSE Consultant (5-10 years) to lead risk assessments, consequence modelling, and fire protection design for process safety projects in the Middle East. You will work with ADNOC/QatarEnergy standards, interpret PFDs/P&IDs, and guide junior consultants through HSE workshops and client interfaces.

Required engineering degree, 5+ years in oil & gas, and strong communication skills.

• Engineering degree or equivalent in relevant experience.
• Familiarity with ADNOC/QatarEnergy Standards and international HSE codes.
• Experience in Middle East oil & gas HSE consultancy (UAE/Qatar/Muscat).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil and gas sector.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Fast typing with high attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Experience in Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) studies and modelling tools.
• Undertaking Consequence modelling, Fire Risk Assessments, and ventilation studies.
• Execute projects related to fire protection system design.
• Interpret PFDs, P&IDs and relevant HSE workshop documentation.
• Scribing for HAZID/ENVID/OHID, SIMOPS, SIL, ALARP workshops.
• Familiarization with tools such as PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, MS Word/Excel.
• Lead projects with junior HSE consultants; interface with clients.
• Review HSEIA studies including Bow tie, EERA, ESSA, and COMAH studies.
• Ensure adherence to project procedures and international codes.

Consultant (5-10 Years’ Experience)

Job Responsibilities

• Experience in Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) studies, including consequence and frequency modelling tools and software (PHAST, SAFETI, Flaresim etc).
• Undertaking Consequence modelling, Fire Risk Assessments, Flare radiation and vent dispersion and fire protection system / detection system design.
• Execute the projects related to Flare radiation and vent dispersion and active/passive fire protection system.
• Strong understanding of key technical documents such as PFDs, P&IDs and shall be able to interpret HSE documents required for HSE workshops.
• Scribing for HAZID/ENVID/OHID, SIMOPS, PHSER, SIL, ALARP workshops.
• Familiarization with software tools such as PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and other relevant applications used in HSE workshops.
• Manage the project along with Junior HSE consultants
• Undertaking/reviewing the HSEIA studies including Bow tie, EERA, ESSA, COMAH studies, Safety case generation and ALARP demonstrations.
• Ensure the correct application of project procedures, engineering specifications and international codes and standards (ADNOC AGES, NFPA, API, OGP, etc.)
• Preparing proposals under direction of DM.
• Interface with Client on technical issues on process safety design.
• Interface with Project management team and client facing skills.

Basic Qualifications for HSE Consultant

• Engineering degree, or equivalent in relevant experience (Preferably Chemical, Petrochemical, Mechanical Engineering)
• Familiarity with ADNOC/QatarEnergy Standards, international HSE codes and NFPA standards.
• Previous HSE Consultancy experience in Middle East (especially UAE, Qatar, Muscat).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience for Oil and gas sector.
• Proven ability to work across organizations with effective communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Proficient in typing skills with 90 words per minute
• Excellent presentation and written / oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-driven environment
