Job summary

CBRE seeks a Health, Safety and Environment Associate to help develop complex procedures and operational guidance within the Health, Safety, and Environmental program. This role supports organizational programs to safeguard employees and surrounding communities, working within the Environment Health and Safety function.

The candidate will monitor injury, illness, and incident-related performance, develop strategic solutions, and ensure records and permits are stored for compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional support in monitoring injury, illness, and incident-related performance.
• Assist with development and implementation of complex strategic solutions to improve performance.
• Verify permits, licenses, applications, and records are stored correctly for compliance.
• Present inspection records, complaints, and suspected violations to management with recommended solutions.
• Inform management, clients, and employees of advanced control regulations and inspection findings.
• Assist management in cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
• Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems with little precedent; may suggest new techniques.
• Impact own team and closely related teams; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Suggest improvements to existing processes to improve team efficiency.
