Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Fabricator in Orlando, FL to interpret blueprints and fabricate or repair dies and tools with high precision.

You will layout and assemble parts, operate brakes, shears, grinders, flame cutters, and drill presses, and weld components as needed under supervision. A high school diploma or GED is typically required, with strong attention to tolerances and safety.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications.
• Uses measuring tools to ensure tolerances meet specs.
• Applies basic math to calculate material requirements and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts prior to assembly using straightedges, squares, calipers, and rulers.
• Operates fabricating equipment such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses.
• Welds or fits parts per blueprints; follows layout specifications and uses proper tools.
• Maintains safe work habits and keeps the work area clean.
• Studies engineering drawings to determine materials and task sequences.
