Job summary

Garden City Public Schools invites applications for the Varsity Co-Ed Bowling Head Coach at Garden City High School. The role will lead all aspects of the boys and girls bowling program, coaching and directing student-athletes and the program.

The season runs November through March. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR/First Aid certification, plus knowledge of district and MHSAA rules.

Job Summary:

The role of the head bowling coach will be to lead all aspects of the boys and girls bowling program. The position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student-athletes and within the program.

Season:

November - March

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalency


• CPR/First Aid Certified


• Maintains a working knowledge of all district and MHSAA rules and regulations governing extra curricular activities


• Previous High School bowling coaching preferred


• Demonstrates the ability to work with students, parents and the community on fostering a positive environment for our student athletes


• Proven positive role model regarding dress, appropriate use of language and appropriate physical contact


• Ensures medical and safety guidelines are adhered to


• Is punctual for all games and practices


• Conducts him/herself in a professional and courteous manner with all players, parents, staff and officials


• Consults with Athletic Director for all off season training programs


• Work closely with the Athletic Department in the scheduling of practices/games


• Promotes academics as a major part of the program


• Communicates in a timely manner with Athletic Director, parents and players


• Emphasizes sportsmanship
