Job summary

PCM CSD is seeking a High School Speech, Assistant Advisor to lead and supervise a student activity under IHSSA guidelines. The role involves coaching, organizing practices, and coordinating entries and logistics for competitions.

A focus on leadership and responsible mentoring is essential, with adherence to district requirements and safety trainings. The stipend is an annual amount, with responsibilities ranging from instruction and performance coaching to schedule management and records

Responsibilities

• Coach and prepare team for competitions.
• Instructs students in IHSSA-sanctioned events with emphasis on rules, categories, and performance standards.
• Fosters a positive, disciplined, and engaging practice environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and competitive excellence.
• Guides students in research, writing, argumentation, interpretation, and delivery of speeches and debates aligned with IHSSA rules.
• Creates and manages practice schedules; coordinates facilities, materials, and resources needed for rehearsals and preparation.
• Registers students, submits entries, and completes required forms for IHSSA contests.
• Coordinates transportation, supervision, etc. for all competitions.
• Maintains active program participation in IHSSA.
• Communicates schedules, expectations, tournament information, and results with students, parents, and administration.

Yearly stipend - $1,235

Purpose
