Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a Spanish teacher to instruct Spanish 3 & 4 and AP Spanish at the secondary level in Tacoma, WA.

Candidates must hold a Spanish K-12 endorsement on their Washington State Teacher certificate and have the ability to design engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement within the district’s curriculum.

Qualifications

• Spanish K-12 endorsement on Washington State teaching certificate is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with appropriate endorsement.
• Valid Washington State teaching certificate.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a standards-based Spanish program for levels 3, 4 and AP.
• Assesses student progress and provides timely reports and grades.
• Establishes classroom routines and manages behavior to support learning.
• Prepares differentiated lessons aligned to district and state standards.
• Communicates with families and works with staff to support student achievement.
