Job summary

Aurora Public Schools is seeking a High School Behavioral Health Non-Instructional Special Services Provider (SSP) to advance student well-being and 9th-grade success through school-based behavioral health interventions. The SSP will lead MTSS efforts, coach staff, and build community partnerships to sustain systemic improvements in access to care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Colorado Special Services Provider License – School Social Worker preferred.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Must hold a valid CDE license, DORA license, or CDE‑issued temporary emergency license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in prevention, early identification, intervention, and coordinated behavioral health support across multiple high schools.
• Support implementation of school-based mental health and substance use prevention efforts and strengthen tiered intervention systems.
• Collaborate with administrators, school mental health staff, student support teams, district departments, families, and community agencies to improve access to care and referral pathways.

Education

Master’s degree in social work or higher
