Job summary

Macon R-1 School District invites applications for an Assistant Track Coach at the High School level. The role focuses on developing student-athletes academically and personally, assisting with practices and competitions, and building a positive, competitive team culture.

The coach will work collaboratively with the head coach and staff, promote sportsmanship and academic success, and support district goals within the school setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

The Macon R-1 School District is seeking dedicated Assistant Track Coaches to joinour High School track program.

Candidates musthold, or be able toobtain,at minimum, a valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate.

We are looking for a dedicated coach who will:

• Help develop student-athletes both academically and personally
• Assist with practices and competitions
• Build a positive, competitive team culture
• Work collaboratively withthe head coach and coaching staff
• Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and academic success

Qualifications: Mustpossesseffectivecoachingtechniquesandskills.Mustpossessathoroughknowledgeof therules,regulations,strategies,andtechniquesofthesport.Mustpossesstheabilitytoestablishand
maintain effectiveworkingrelationshipswithschooladministrators,parents,andstudents.
